Who inspires you and/your music?
“My primary inspiration for my music is my family. We’ve endured a lot over the years but our perseverance and faith is what drives me forward the most. I draw from that and apply it to each and every move I make professionally AND academically”.
When did you first get into music?
“I come from a rich musical background in my family. My dad used to rap in a group with my uncles, my mom is a violinist she hasn’t played in a while, my brother Marveo was a percussionist, my Uncle Ronnie is an opera singer, etc. I started rapping in the 3rd grade, I’d memorize songs from start to finish and rap them back to my classmates during recess or lunch. Then, I started writing my own verses in the sixth grade! So, it's been creeping up on two decades for me”.
What is your creative process like?
“ I’ve always been a quality over quantity type of artist when it comes to my releases. I typically have to be inspired by a beat or going through something in my personal life to write AND create my best work. There’s really no limit to what I can create when I’m inspired, but it’s not something I can force either. Everything has to flow naturally for me creatively speaking”.
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
“More new music, more performances, merchandise, brand expansion, I’ll be graduating with Honors from Catawba College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, more music videos, and much more! It’s going to be a jam-packed year for me and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes me!"
